Dubai-based developer announces the construction of an iconic tower, set to reshape the city’s skyline by 2028
Azizi Developments, a prominent Dubai-based private developer, has commenced the construction of a groundbreaking tower poised to become the city’s second tallest structure. The $1.5 billion project, strategically located opposite the World Trade Centre on Sheikh Zayed Road, aims to redefine luxury living and urban sophistication.
The developer, known for its commitment to innovation and architectural excellence, has yet to unveil the tower’s official name. Mirwais Azizi, the founder and chairman of Azizi Developments, expressed the significance of the project, stating, “This tower will be our legacy.” The construction, expected to conclude by 2028, embodies the developer’s gratitude towards Dubai, a city that has provided safety and abundant opportunities to Azizi and his family.
The upcoming tower will showcase a unique blend of features, including a vertical mall, luxury residences, penthouses, a 7-star hotel, an observation deck, and several high-end restaurants. Mirwais Azizi emphasized that the project is a way of giving back to the emirate and its welcoming community.
To secure its position as the second tallest tower in Dubai, Azizi’s creation needs to surpass Marina 101 (425 meters) and the Franck Muller Aeternitas Tower (450 meters). However, to claim the title of the world’s second tallest tower, it must exceed Malaysia’s Merdeka 118, which stands at 679 meters and was completed in November of the previous year. The ambitious project reflects Azizi Developments’ dedication to contributing to Dubai’s ever-evolving skyline and solidifying its reputation as a leading force in the city’s real estate landscape.
